A European project in Spain, Scotland, Lithuania and Italy, led and coordinated by the Generalitat Valenciana’s Department of Education and Culture, which brings the achievements of women throughout history into the academic world.
The challenge
Women’s Legacy makes a decisive contribution to including the women who shaped history and culture, and their legacy, in educational content. The aim is to make it easier to bring them into the classroom and help eradicate gender inequality from the ground up.
We started from an icon inspired by one of the earliest female representations in history, a small figure dating from before 6,000 BC that showed the human body with wide hips and breasts. The breasts are spiral-shaped, referring to the cycle of life, a graphic element that has survived for millennia.
